Come Celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday
The Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated next Sunday, 27th April, starting at 2.30pm including Procession, Rosary, Confession with many priests available, Chaplet. Healing of the Generations Mass at 4.30pm. All are welcome.
The End of our Lenten Journey
On Holy Thursday, the donations collected for the Trócaire Campaign were presented. We are renewed as we celebrate the gift of new life and a fresh start at Easter. This is reflected in our Easter Garden. The flowers, plants, water, and open tomb speak for themselves. “The Lord has indeed risen, alleluia”.

Refreshments in Parish Centre after Easter Vigil Mass.

Happy Easter!
May the peace of the Risen Christ fill all our hearts with joy this Easter. Once again there was a wonderful sense of participation, community, and welcome during the Holy Week ceremonies.
A lot of hard work and thought went into the preparation of the Church and the ceremonies and we thank all involved – especially the choir and Jim the organist, whose music enhanced all the ceremonies and Eva for the beautiful flowers.

Reflection on Sunday Readings
The Lord is truly risen, alleluia!
Easter Sunday: the greatest feast of our liturgical year! May our readings fill us with hope and deep joy, whatever our circumstances may be.
In our Gospel we see Mary Magdalene, running to tell the disciples about the empty tomb. Peter and the beloved disciple discover this for themselves and slowly come to believe that Jesus is risen.
Psalm 117 (118), which we will meet several times in the Easter season, is a joyful song of praise to the Lord who has triumphed over suffering and death.
The First Reading, shows Peter grown in his faith, spreading the Good News and his personal witness to the Resurrection to Gentiles as well as Jews.
The Second Reading challenges us to live out the reality and the consequences of the Resurrection—we have been brought back to true life with Christ.
As Pilgrims of Hope, this Jubilee year encourages us to acknowledge that we need to pause, to give time to rest and worship. May the Easter season lead us to put aside some time for quiet each day or maybe enable someone else to do so. We can place our trust in God who rested on the seventh day.

Easter Prayer
God, may we feel the warm embrace of your love on this sacred day. May the glory of Jesus’s resurrection remind us that with You, nothing is impossible or without hope. We pray in Your name. Amen.

We may not feel like rejoicing in a very troubled world, but listening to this will be a powerful reminder that even the longest Good Friday leads to the transcendence of Resurrection. On Holy Saturday we’re in a sad and sombre place

Everything Will Be Okay
Everything works itself out in the end, even when it doesn’t feel like it possibly could.
