New Pilgrim Path – Contemplative Wisdom & Practice
A daily contemplative practice needs to allow deep listening to open your heart to love. The ecumenical Centre for Action and Contemplation founded by renowned spiritual writer and Franciscan friar, Richard Rohr and includes members include James Finley, Brian McLaren, Barbara Holmes and Cynthia Bourgeault. CAC website offers a range of contemplative wisdom and practices that are easy to understand and apply to everyday life.
Note: First Confession for Scoil Eoin Children
This Wednesday 17th April, Scoil Eoin pupils will receive the Sacrament of First Confession at 11am.
Adoration will commence at 12.00pm
Note: Confirmation for Gaelscoil Míde Pupils
This Thursday 18th Gaelscoil Míde practice for Confirmation. Adoration will commence at 12pm and the following day, Friday, 19th April, the children from Gaelscoil Míde will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at 11am. Adoration will commence at 1pm.

Reflection on Sunday Readings
Lift up the light of your face on us, O Lord
In today’s readings, we celebrate the living Christ, our advocate who dwells with the Father. Through him we are given encouragement to overcome our fearfulness and weakness of faith.
Peter (First Reading) insists that even those responsible for Christ’s death are not without hope. They, too, are called to repent, and turn their face back to God.
In the Second Reading, John reminds the community of believers that the Christian life demands continuous attention to Christ’s teachings. By following this Way of love in our daily life, we will be invited into an ever-deepening relationship with God.
Luke continues the Resurrection story as the risen Lord appears to his fearful friends. Jesus bolsters their faith by joining them for a meal. He invites them to touch his body, before finally breaking open the word of Scripture. We, like the disciples, need the risen Christ to comfort and embolden our lives of faith. (Gospel)
The Psalmist has been delivered from anguish and gives thanks to the one God who has listened and released him. It is a prayer of deep trust and confidence in the Lord of all.
In a world both ablaze with the wonders of science and technology and ravished by war and profound injustice, we pray that we may never forget that only you, dear Lord, can ever satisfy our restless, fearful hearts.

Baptisms
- Baptisms in our Church take place on the second Saturday of every month. Baptismal Registration Forms are available from the Parish Office.

Pope Francis recently invited the faithful not to fail in continuing to pray for peace: “A just, lasting peace, especially for the tormented Ukraine and for Palestine and Israel. May the spirit of the Risen Lord enlighten and sustain all those who work to decrease the tension, and encourage gestures that make negotiations possible.” And directing his appeal to political leaders he said: “May the Lord give the leaders the ability to pause a little to mediate, to negotiate.”

Outdoor Collection this Weekend
A group of 5th year students from St. Paul’s College, Raheny, will travel to Kamulu in Kenya in June, with the Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM,) to take part in an Immersion Project, living with a Vincentian Community and teaching Maths, English and Sport in a local school. All donations for this worthwhile project will be appreciated.
