Pilgrim God, we give you thanks and praise. You constantly journey with us even in our darkness and doubts. We seek your way of loving kindness to walk together as one family.
Open our eyes to recognise you in the faces of one another,
in the breaking of bread and in the splendour of creation. May the risen Christ sow seeds of hope and new life deep within us. May our hearts and minds be filled with your Word, bringing forth truth, justice and peace. May the Holy Spirit working in and through us do much more than we can dare to imagine as we live out our baptismal calling in humble and loving service. We make this our prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Weekly Reflection on the Scriptures

Building Hope Task Force – Questionnaire
Each parish community has been invited to reflect on how best to respond to the pastoral situation in which we find ourselves. It is very clear that the future will not look like the past. Our challenge is to shape the future, rather than simply reacting to events. The Archbishop is inviting all parishes to
provide feedback, on four themes including Faith, Servant Leadership and Welcome, on what works well in the parish; what could be improved and how, and the parish partnerships that make most sense in their locality. You are being asked to contribute to the Building Hope response for our parish.
If you were not able to make the meeting held to provide inputs to the parish response, you can instead provide feedback by email to: info@kilbarrackfoxfieldparish.ie or, if you prefer, you can complete the Questionnaire and drop it into the Sacristy – there are copies at the back of the church.

Reflection on Sunday’s Readings
‘I am with you always!’
As Christ ascends to heaven, he commissions us to be his living message of hope, love, and compassion in a world crying out for healing. We are invited to share in the amazement of the first disciples of Jesus, so that we can become like them – joyful followers of Christ.
We do not struggle on our own. The risen Christ fills us with his Holy Spirit so that we who believe are his witnesses to the ends of the earth (First Reading). Jesus’ disciples do not dwell on their loss at his departing from their sight but are instead full of joy at the realisation that he is now with them forever (Gospel). We pray for the opportunity to proclaim the joy of the Good News to as many people as possible and continue to pray for the peace of the world, and especially for the people of Ukraine.
Service of the Healing of the Generations

Eucharistic Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place from 11am-3pm from Tuesday to Friday each week.
Chairobics
The chairobic classes take place in the Parish Centre every Tuesday at 11.30am. We look forward to seeing you there.
Prayer for Ukraine
Holy and Gracious God. We pray for the people of Ukraine and the people of Russia, for their countries and their leaders. We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear.
We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people life, and life in all its fullness. We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into ploughshares and seek for peace. We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they are inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ. Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace for Ukraine. And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son. Lord have mercy. Amen.
Congratulations for Anniversaries
We extend love, best wishes and congratulations to our priests who celebrated significant anniversaries recently – Fr Séamus 40 years, Fr Paul 50 years and Fr Cathal 63 years -many years of loving service and devotion to the priesthood and people. May God hold them in the palm of his hands.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation
Congratulations to the children from North Bay and Gaelscoil Míde who received First Communion recently. Also, congratulations and best wishes to the pupils of Scoil Eoin and North Bay who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last week. We continue to keep all the children in our prayers
Call in, Browse and Choose a Book
The Parish Centre will be open before and after weekend Masses and Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, to allow people to call in, pick a book and make a small donation.

What A Thing That Would Be
Being around someone who likes their self,
is like sitting in the springtime sun.
It lifts your soul and spins it around on a virtual dance floor,
like your favourite song,
your favourite treat
and a lingering hug all rolled into one.
The reason for that is simple,
people who like themselves as they are, don’t judge.
They don’t look for flaws,
neither do they filter your words for signs of weakness.
They have learned to stop all that.
They accept themselves and so naturally,
they accept you too, just as you are.
Even better, they see you in all your glory,
the way you should be seen.
It’s a truly uplifting experience,
which brings a whole new energy of its own
and you should seek it out more often my friend.
After a while of that,
maybe, just maybe,
