Masses Online
Masses in our Church are all available on Webcam only – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am; Thursday 7.30pm (and Divine Mercy Hour). Sunday 12noon. See www.kilbarrackfoxfieldparish.ie. Details of other Churches also on our website. Every second Sunday RTE1 Mass at 11am and on the alternate weeks, Mass is celebrated on RTE Now at 2.15pm. Weekday Masses from RTE News Now at 10.30am. Those without internet can hear 10am Mass Monday-Friday on Radio Maria by phoning 01-437-3277 from a landline, then press the speaker symbol on your phone.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Weekly Reflection on the Scriptures
The weekly reflection continues each Monday 7.30-8.30pm. Contact Sr Phyllis at 086-890-9488 with your email address and join us on Zoom to reflect on the liturgy for the following Sunday. It is so rewarding and
enhances our participation at Mass on the day.

Churches Re-Opening – Good News~!
I’m sure that like me, you were delighted to hear that churches may reopen for public worship on Monday 10th May. It is however limited to 50 people at each Mass – masks to be worn and hands sanitised. At the present time, 1st Holy Communions, Confirmations and Baptisms may not take place – we await guidance from the Archbishop and the Government. But there is light at the end of the tunnel! The priests of the parish look forward to seeing you again at Mass.
We will need your help with the practicalities of reopening – church cleaning and stewarding etc. If you are happy to volunteer for either of these you will be so welcome. Please give your name to Janice at 01 839 0433 or info@kilbarrackfoxfieldparish.ie

Reflection on Today’s Gospel
‘I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, with me in him, bears fruit in plenty.’
Today’s readings remind us that when ‘we believe in the name of Jesus Christ’, we accept the intimate relationship to which God invites us.
The Gospel shows the amazing intimacy that Jesus offers through the wonderful image of the vine and branches. Having Jesus, the true vine, live within our hearts, we as his disciples, the branches, will bear fruit; cut off from Jesus, we can do nothing at all. Jesus reveals his Father as the vinedresser, tending to us with love, and sometimes ‘pruning’ us so that we can produce more plentiful fruit.
During the week, we may like to ponder the relationship God longs to have with us, and the fruit he enables us to bear.

Pentecost Preparation Programme
The parishes of Old Bawn and Bohernabreena will host a home-based preparation programme for Pentecost and follows the daily inspirational thoughts from Living Word (https://www.jesuit.ie/news/inspiration-and-guidance-for-faith-communities/). Pope Francis and the Rosary
Pope Francis is inviting us to say the rosary every evening in May, asking for an end to the Pandemic.
The Sanctuary and the Dawn Chorus
The Sanctuary is inviting you to join in from your own home to celebrate the wonderful birdsong of the Dawn Chorus in a special mindful way, this (Sunday Morning), May 2nd, at 4.30am. Jane Negrych, the Managing Director, will lead a mindful practice from a Wicklow forest as you listen to the wonder of the Dawn Chorus.
Members of The Dublin Gospel Choir will sing a response to the birdsong.

Make Sure Others Appreciate Your Value
A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honours, here is a car I bought many years ago.
It is a bit older now but before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them you want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.
The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because they said it looks pretty worn out.”
The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said, ”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old car.”
The father asked his daughter to go to a car club now and show them the car. The daughter then took the car to the club, returned and told her father,” Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because it’s a Holden Torana and it’s an iconic car and sought by many collectors”
Now the father said this to his daughter,
“The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you. Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.
