Four Seasons Collection
The next collection will take place next weekend 27th/28th January 2024. The first project on our list to complete in 2024 is to resurface the parish car park. So far, we have raised half the costs. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
SVDP will hold their monthly collection this weekend.
Service of the Healing of the Generations (Family Tree)

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 18th – 24th January.
God of all, we pray as one, that we may be one, just as the Lord Jesus prayed we may be one in Him. Your son Jesus compels us to be reconciled to one another. May our spirits be joined to Your Holy Spirit, that we may witness to the visible unity of your Church. May we all recognise that we are truly one with You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and grow together in peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
Reflection on Sunday Readings
‘Lord teach me your paths’
As the Church celebrates this ‘Sunday of the Word of God’, Pope Francis reminds us: Christ Jesus is knocking at our door in the words of sacred scripture. If we hear his voice and open the doors of our mind and hearts, then he will enter our lives and remain ever with us.
In the First Reading, Jonah takes the word of God to the people in Nineveh. They hear it, are inspired to change their evil ways, and God shows them his mercy.
God’s love and forgiveness are at the heart of the Psalm, as we pray for better understanding of the ways in which the Lord invites us to live our lives.
St Paul issues a challenge to the Christian community in Corinth in this week’s Second Reading. At the centre of this, is an encouragement to us to free our minds and hearts from reliance on the things of this world, and to place our hope in the reign of God.
The Gospel speaks of the opening of the hearts and minds of the first apostles as they leave behind everything, they know in order to follow Jesus.
This week, we pray that the Lord will open our minds and hearts, so we can see more clearly where our paths lie with Him.

Charity Tax Refund 2021
If you have not yet sent back the Tax Form which was posted in October 2023, there is still time to return it. Our Parish Secretary, Janice, will be submitting the claim by the end of Jan.
