Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

First Confession and First Holy Communion
Children from North Bay Educate Together school received First Confession and First Communion yesterday – a special day for the children and their families having waited so long.. We send them our best wishes and blessings. Next Saturday we will welcome the children from Scoil Eoin.
Weekly Reflection on the Scriptures

Reflection on Today’s Liturgy
The word of God is alive and active!
The readings this week give us an opportunity to step back from the busy-ness of our lives to consider the riches we have been given, and what it is we truly value. In the First Reading, the spirit of Wisdom came to the writer through prayer. The Gospel draws together these themes of wisdom, selfless values, and service to the Lord in the story of the rich young man, whose attachment to wealth prevents him from following Jesus. Through this encounter, Jesus teaches that whatever we leave behind to follow him will be far surpassed by the treasures we will inherit in heaven.
This week, we might pray for the gift of ever greater wisdom to help us recognise and seize every opportunity to show our love of God through the good we do each day.
Pope Francis This Week
“We have inherited a garden: we must not leave a desert to our children.” .. words contained in a joint appeal signed by Pope Francis with scientists and religious leaders on Monday in the Vatican during a meeting entitled “Faith and Science: Towards Cop26.” The appeal spells out, that unprecedented challenges “threaten our beautiful common home.”
The Pope and World Youth Day 2021
“Arise! Testify joyfully that Christ is alive! Spread His message of love and salvation among your contemporaries, at school and in the university, at work in the digital world, everywhere. I invite all of you, young people throughout the world, to take part in this spiritual pilgrimage leading to the celebration of the 2023 World Youth Day in Lisbon,” Pope Francis said in conclusion. “The next event, however, will take place in your particular churches, in the different dioceses and eparchies of the world, where the 2021 World Youth Day will be celebrated locally, on the Solemnity of Christ the King.”

Walking Together in Hope Initiative
The Dublin Diocese website has lots of suggestions for parishes in the Walking Together in Hope section. One idea is a Parish Grounds Clean-Up where people of all ages would meet in the Church grounds for an hour to do weeding, collecting rubbish, clearing paths etc, on a particular day . Anyone interested?

New Pilgrim Path

Volunteers Needed by Crosscare
Crosscare Community Café is looking for people to help the wonderful kitchen staff behind the scenes as a volunteer kitchen porter 1-2 mornings per week (Mon-Fri 10.30-2.30. Also Crosscare is seeking Romanian or Roma speaking volunteers with fluent English to join our Housing & Welfare Clinic team. Phone Clinics: Wed 10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm once every 2/3 weeks. Crosscare’s Drug & Alcohol programme offers a free addiction counselling service and is looking for Student, Pre-accredited, Accredited counsellors Psychotherapists to volunteer for a minimum of 1-3hrs a week, in the Balbriggan Service. Make peace with your past, so it doesn’t spoil your present. Your past does not define your future – your actions and beliefs do.
What others think of you is none of your business. It’s how much you value yourself and how important you think you are.
Time heals almost everything, give time, time. Pain will be less hurting. Scars make us who we are; they explain our life and why we are the way we are. They challenge us and force us to be stronger.
No one is the reason for your own happiness, except you yourself. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside.
Don’t compare your life with others’, you have no idea what their journey is all about. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we would grab ours back as fast as we could.
Stop thinking too much, it’s alright not to know all the answers. Sometime there is no answer, not going to be any answer, never has been an answer. That’s the answer! Just accept it, move on, NEXT!
Smile, you don’t own all the problems in the world. A smile can brighten the darkest day and make life more beautiful. It is a potential curve to turn a life around.
Love Is The Most Powerful Force of Life – Einstein
In the late 1980s, Lieserl Einstein, the daughter of the famous genius, donated 1,400 letters, written by Albert Einstein, to the Hebrew University, with orders not to publish their contents until two decades after his death. This is one of them, for Lieserl Einstein.
”When I proposed the theory of relativity, very few understood me, and what I will reveal now to transmit to mankind will also collide with the misunderstanding and prejudice in the world.
There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet been identified by us.
This universal force is LOVE.
When scientists looked for a unified theory of the universe they forgot the most powerful unseen force.
Love is Light, that enlightens those who give and receive it. Love is gravity, because it makes some people feel attracted to others.
Love is power, because it multiplies the best we have, and allows humanity not to be extinguished in their blind selfishness. Love unfolds and reveals.
For love we live and die.
Love is God and God is Love.
This force explains everything and gives meaning to life. This is the variable we have ignored for too long, maybe because we are afraid of love because it is the only energy in the universe that man has not learned to drive at will.
To give visibility to love, I made a simple substitution in my most famous equation. If instead of E = mc2, we accept that the energy to heal the world can be obtained through love multiplied by the speed of light squared, we arrive at the conclusion that love is the most powerful force there is, because it has no limits.
After the failure of humanity in the use and control of the other forces of the universe that have turned against us, it is urgent that we nourish ourselves with another kind of energy . . .
If we want our species to survive, if we are to find meaning in life, if we want to save the world and every sentient being that inhabits it, love is the only answer.
Perhaps we are not yet ready to make a bomb of love, a device powerful enough to entirely destroy the hate, selfishness and greed that devastate the planet.
However, each individual carries a small but powerful generator of love whose energy is waiting to be released.
When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear Lieserl, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, is able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life.
I deeply regret not having been able to express what is in my heart, which has quietly beaten for you all my life. Maybe it’s too late to apologise, but as time is relative, I need to tell you that I love you and thanks to you I have reached the ultimate answer! “.
