Dear Heavenly Father, we bring this situation before you and ask for a swift end to violence. Our hearts are breaking for the children and families in Gaza and Israel who have and continue to experience the unspeakable horror of attacks and war all around them. We pray for peace and ask that you will guide the hearts and minds of those in leadership. We especially pray for those children who have been physically and emotionally injured, and for those who have lost loved ones, that you will provide the right people with the right resources to help them, and that you will protect each person. Lord, we ask for your wisdom for all those involved and for the wider international community. Amen
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place from 11am-3pm, Tuesday to Friday.
Reflection on Sunday’s Readings
This week we consider how to live as followers of Jesus in our communities and in our world.
In the First Reading, God speaks to the people of Israel about how they should treat the oppressed and down-trodden, in order to please God. The Psalm reminds us that we can only live the lives that God wants by relying on him: he is our rock, our strength, our saviour, our mighty help. Second Reading. St Paul says we should all be imitators of the Lord, in the joy of the Holy Spirit . In the Gospel, Jesus asks us to express the love of God that fills our hearts, our souls and our minds, by treating others as we would want to be treated ourselves. We find in others the image of the God who is love.
We pray for, and with, our sisters and brothers in many parts of the world who yearn for peace and justice. We ask that God help us to grow in love of him and of one another, and that we may recognise Christ Jesus in our midst, especially in those who are suffering.
Baptism News
Previously our Baptisms took place on Sundays. From October, Baptisms will now be held on the Second Saturday of each month.

Annual Mass for the Dead 2023
Our Annual Mass for the Dead for those who died since October 2022 is on next Saturday 4th November at 6pm. The sacristy will be open each morning until 11am for you to bring your loved ones photo for the sacred space in front of the altar.

Human beings suffer,
