Four Seasons Collection
Our First Collection of 2025 will take place this weekend 29th/30th March to raise funds to replace our current sacristy bathrooms and small kitchen area. At present they are not functioning properly, causing blockages and leaks throughout the sacristy area, destroying the carpet. This collection plays a vital role in achieving the completion of these projects. Please support this collection this weekend.
Reflection on the Scriptures
Our Zoom reflections are held on Mondays 7.30-8.30pm. Insight and understanding are gained as we reflect on the readings for the following Sunday. All are welcome. Contact Phyllis 086 890 9488 with email address.
Journey Through Lent – Invitation
Journey with us for one hour each Tuesday through Lent as we reflect on the Word of God in preparation for a more personally meaningful Easter season. Led by Fr Séamus in our Parish Centre. Tuesdays 7.15–8.15pm – All most welcome
The booklet ‘God’s Influencer’ about Carlos Acutis, who will be canonised shortly, is available in the Parish Office from Monday 17th at special offer of €10.
Please come into the Parish Centre after Mass Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat or Sunday during Lent to donate to Trócaire and take some books. All book donations will be given to Trócaire Lenten Campaign.
Rejoice! In Christ we are a new creation
On this Laetare (‘Rejoice!’) Sunday our liturgy centres on the boundless forgiveness of our loving God. We may choose to turn away from his love, but God forever turns towards us, longing to embrace us with compassion and rejoicing when we come back to him.
In the First Reading, God tells Joshua that he has taken away the shame of the people of Israel: their years in exile eating manna in the desert are over. From now on, they eat from the bounty of the land.
The generosity of God’s goodness and forgiveness is proclaimed throughout the Psalm. God comes to us in our need and distress, desiring us to put aside our shame and be radiant with his transforming love.
Paul’s letter to the Corinthians continues this feast of forgiveness. We are reconciled to God through Christ and in him we are a new creation, liberated from our sins. (Second Reading)
The beautiful parable that Jesus shares in the Gospel sums up the whole message of the Good News and the promise of reconciliation which is made complete through the events of Holy Week and Easter.
In this Jubilee Year, we pray for those in the world who are unable to secure enough food to eat from their land as a result of a changing climate. May we be moved with compassion to take whatever practical steps we can to alleviate their food poverty.

Happy Mother’s Day from Trócaire. We wish all mothers throughout the world well on this day. Women, and in particular mothers, often bear the huge burdens of the impacts of the climate crisis. Congratulations
Congratulations to the children of Gaelscoil Mide who received the sacrament of Confirmation last Friday in our Church, celebrated by Fr Finbarr.

St John’s Corner Book Stand
Books are for sale on the stand in St John’s Corner. It will be replenished every few months. Janice can order a particular book if requested. Prices are on each book. Please put money in the safe on the wall beside the book stand or give it to Janice or Aishling in the Sacristy/Parish Office.
Do Not Judge a Pain You Do Not Feel
In life, it is easy to observe from the outside and believe we understand what others are going through.
But in reality, every pain is unique, every burden shaped by the experiences, wounds, and emotions specific to the one carrying it.
Judging creates a wall between you and others. We sometimes forget that behind the silence, behind a forced smile, lies a story…! A story we do not fully know, a pain we have never truly felt.
Thank You for Being With Me
I pray for the week ahead. Help me to rise above any storms or problems I may encounter. Help me to remember to wait on You so that You can renew my strength. Thank You for being with me everywhere I go and for giving me I everything I need. Help me to see and recognise the miracles that are happening around me every day this week. I release the things I cannot control into Your hands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God Is My All
The deepest level of worship is praising God through the pain, thanking God during the trials, trusting Him when we are tempted to lose hope and loving Him even when He seems distant. At my lowest, God is my hope. At my darkest, God is my light. At my weakest, God is my strength. At my saddest, God is my comforter.
God is saying to you today: I know you feel tired and stressed. But know I have your back. I’m going to send you a blessing to remind you that I am always in your corner. Amen.
Sometimes I want to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice in the world when He could do something about it. But I’m afraid He might just ask me the same question.
Your features remain in my memory, your voice in my ears, and your presence in my heart… I miss you with everything in me.
