Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.

Weekly Reflection on the Scriptures
Contact Sr Phyllis at 086-890-9488 with your email address and join us on Zoom any Monday night 7.30-8.30pm to reflect on the liturgy for the following Sunday. It is so rewarding and enhances participation at Mass on the day.

Reflection on Today’s Gospel
God’s Covenant
Lent – an opportunity to start again. In the First Reading from Genesis, God makes a Covenant with Noah’s people. St Paul, in the Second Reading, reminds us that like Noah was saved from the waters, so we are saved by the waters of baptism. The Gospel tells us of the temptations of Christ. It is only after this experience that Jesus begins his ministry, calling people to repent and believe the Good News. This week, we may give thanks for ‘this joyful season’ (as in the Lenten preface) – a time to prepare to celebrate the paschal mystery.

For Lent, BBC Radio 4 will explore aspects of Ignatian spirituality in their daily Morning Service and Sunday Worship, drawing on ‘Knowing Jesus’, a superb online retreat being offered by the Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Glasgow – provides daily reflections, an introduction to different ways of praying, stillness and awareness exercises, imaginative contemplation exercises, lectio divina, praying with art. This year’s Trocaire Lenten Campaign will focus on exploring the Impact of Conflict on Families in South Sudan. We learn about the suffering of people who have lost their homes and loved ones to war, and how they are rebuilding their lives through love, friendship and solidarity. Donations will go towards Emergency aid such as food, water and sanitation and hygiene items.

Continuous Rosary in Ireland for Peace and Charity
A Continuous Rosary will be offered up every minute of every day for Peace and Charity in Ireland. To make this work there needs to be a minimum of two parishioners per parish, one with surname beginning A-L and one with surname M-Z to say the rosary twelve times per year.
