The Building Hope Prayer
Pilgrim God, we give you thanks and praise. You constantly journey with us even in our darkness and doubts. We seek your way of loving kindness to walk together as one family.
Open our eyes to recognise you in the faces of one another,
in the breaking of bread and in the splendour of creation. May the risen Christ sow seeds of hope and new life deep within us. May our hearts and minds be filled with your Word, bringing forth truth, justice and peace. May the Holy Spirit working in and through us do much more than we can dare to imagine as we live out our baptismal calling in humble and loving service. We make this our prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Petitions for Leaving Certificate Students
There is a basket in front of the altar for petitions for this year’s Leaving Certificate students who will be remembered in the Mass every day during the exam.
Reflection on Sunday’s Readings
Today’s readings emphasise the priesthood and our sharing in it. The First Reading tells us of Melchizedek bringing an offering of bread and wine, sharing it with Abraham, and blessing him. The Psalm also mentions Melchizedek, calling him priest and prince. He prefigures Christ, who offers the supreme sacrifice of his body and blood under the forms of bread and wine. St Paul, in the Second Reading, tells us of the institution of the Eucharist that he himself has received. The Gospel is the story of the feeding of the five thousand with a few loaves and fishes. In the Eucharist the transformation of the bread and wine is through the same power of Jesus working through ordained ministers and others. This week we think on the Eucharist not only as Christ’s action in the past, but also as a present and ever-new event in our own daily lives and actions.
Eucharistic Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place from 11am-3pm from Tuesday to Friday each week.
Service of the Healing of the Generations
The Service of the Healing of the Generations (Family Tree) will take place next Sunday, 26th June in our Church, led by Fr Cathal and team, commencing with Holy Mass at 7pm. Those who can’t attend see www.kilbarrackfoxfieldparish.ie.
Prayer for Ukraine
Holy and Gracious God. We pray for the people of Ukraine and the people of Russia, for their countries and their leaders. We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear. We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people life, and life in all its fullness. We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into ploughshares and seek for peace. We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they may be inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ. Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace for Ukraine. And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son. Lord have mercy. Amen.
Dues Collection
The summer Dues collection is now re-launched, and envelopes are at the back of the Church. They are not being delivered to your home. They can be returned over the summer months. The Archbishop reminds us of the value of coming together as a community to celebrate the Lord’s Day. Listen carefully to the Spirit calling us to build a future full of hope.

Prayer for Students doing Exams
Lord, pour out your Spirit of Wisdom on these students: help them to remain calm, to attend carefully to the questions asked, to think clearly, to remember accurately, and to express themselves well. Grant that they may reflect on the best of the work they have done and the best of the teaching they have received. Accept their best efforts in these examinations and in the great test of life on earth. May your love be upon them, O Lord, as they place all their trust in you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pathways – Applications Open
Applications are invited for Pathways, a two-year one evening a week course, beginning on Thursday 29th September, in DCU St Patrick’s Campus. Places limited. Early application advisable.
