Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Morning Prayer in our Church
We invite you to join us for morning prayer of the Church on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9.45am – beautiful start to the day.
Today is Safeguarding Sunday
Safeguarding is about creating an environment which facilitates the involvement of all, including children, young people and vulnerable adults. This means that all of us who are members of this parish community can grow together in love of God and service to his Church..
Good safeguarding practice is part of what it is to minister in the Church. It is not an optional extra. As our society and parish prepare for a return to a semblance of normality, we are conscious that many of our parishioners, young and old, have been affected by Covid. Those who have experienced illness, loss of loved ones or those whose mental health has been affected, may find themselves in a state of vulnerability. As part of our safeguarding journey, we reach out to them in solidarity and offer them our support and prayers.
The practices in this parish, as in all parishes in the diocese, to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, include such measures as:
Choosing carefully those who work with children and vulnerable adults in our parish, which includes vetting of those involved; Ensuring parish workers and volunteers behave appropriately towards children and vulnerable adults; Making proper arrangements for activities involving children and vulnerable adults,
ensuring adequate supervision of such activities.
Service of the Healing of the Generations

Reflection on Today’s Liturgy
We get the following message from today’s readings –
I am called not only to be for myself a good person. I am called to reach out, to love, to be just to others, to be fully free with and for others, to be truly brother or sister. I am also called to be a prophet, to proclaim in words and actions that the source of all love, justice, freedom and solidarity with others is a God who loves, who forgives and who wants all to share in a life that is
enriched on every level.

I Am The Beloved
I am thankful God loves me, even in my worst moments. When I least feel it, His voice reassuringly whispers: “You are my beloved son/daughter, and I am well pleased with you.”
I hear His words of encouragement and I refuse to give in to those voices of the world that tell me that I am no good and will never make it.
I am who God says I am. I am His child.
Each day can be a battle to claim your most authentic identity. You are not your failures or sins. You are not defined by what other people say or think of you. The truth is that you are wonderfully made, dearly loved, and precious in God’s sight (Psalm 139).
As you look into the mirror every day this week, declare eternal reality that you are a beloved child of God. No matter where you have been or what you have done, Jesus invites you to walk with him and breathe new life in a new kingdom. Embrace that truth, and it will transform your life. Dust if You Must
Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
Ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there’s not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world’s out there
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it’s not kind.
And when you go (and go you must)
You, yourself, will make more dust.
Rose Milligan
You Can Do It
“This letter is to you. The you that’s had a rough week. The you that seems to be under constant storm clouds. The you that feels invisible. The you that doesn’t know how much longer you can hold on. The you that has lost faith. The you that always blames yourself for everything that goes wrong. To you. You are incredible. You make this world a little bit more wonderful. You have so much potential and so many things left to do. You have time. Better things are coming your way, so please hang in there. You can do it.”— Jodi Ann Bickley
Not
You are not your age, nor the size of clothes you wear,
You are not a weight, or the colour of your hair.
You are not your name, or the dimples in your cheeks.
You are all the books you read, and all the words you speak.
You are your croaky morning voice, and the smiles you try to hide.
You’re the sweetness in your laughter, and every tear you’ve cried.
You’re the songs you sing so loudly when you know you’re all alone.
You’re the places that you’ve been to, and the one that you call home.
You’re the things that you believe in, and the people e whom you love.
You’re the photos in your bedroom, and the future you dream of.
You’re made of so much beauty, but it seems that you forgot
When you decided that you were defined by all the things you’re not.
